In this Southwestern Still Life Painting, "Past, Present and Future," an original oil on canvas, it was my intention to represent the awareness of being limited in our time here, with a history and a potential for a future beyond ourselves. Using objects as symbols I chose an ammonite fossil, a key-wound clock with a fictitious name "McMillan Ltd.," and Indian pottery filled with corn seeds. This was my first attempt at painting a rug showing weave. | |
